New Palace of Justice, 2433 spaces

KUWAIT CITY, KUWAIT

The New Palace of Justice in Kuwait City will be the largest judicial building in the Middle East, spanning a 34,500 sqm plot with 141 courtrooms and extensive office adding up to 356,189 m2 floor area.

The complex includes 2,741 parking spaces using both conventional and automated systems. Robotic Parking is supplying its’ RPS 1000 parking technology with a total of 2,433 spaces and 100 EV charging stations. This includes 5-level underground and a 13-story above-ground garage (37m tall, 65m x 30m) with grade-level access.

IMPLEMENTATION

This project stands as a testament to innovative design, cleverly utilizing minimal basement area beneath the main building while seamlessly blending the parking facilities with the overall architectural appeal. The entire garage structure is discreetly concealed beneath the basement, ensuring that the visual and structural integrity of the main building remains uncompromised. Additionally, the above-grade garage was ingeniously inserted between the two towers, without disturbing either the structural or architectural appearance, or character of the development.

Robotic Parking engineers collaborated closely with the architects to maximize parking density without disrupting the building’s aesthetics or structural framework. Having successfully delivered the first automated garage for the Amiri Diwan at the Al Jahra Court Complex, Robotic Parking Systems was selected as sole source for this prestigious project due to stringent specifications. Our proven expertise in the Middle East, and specifically in Kuwait, enabled us to design the system within a record-breaking timeline. This experience also proved invaluable in securing all necessary authority approvals efficiently, allowing the project to progress at an accelerated pace.

INNOVATION

As a pioneer and leading innovator in the automated parking sector, Robotic Parking Systems consistently sets new industry benchmarks. The Robotic Parking System at the New Palace of Justice in Kuwait incorporates the latest advancements in fire safety, including a rapid containment feature exclusive to Robotic Parking Systems. This innovation ensures the system is safer than any other car parking solution be it a traditional concrete garage or another automated parking system. Alongside this, several other cutting-edge features will be showcased in the New Palace of Justice’s automated parking garage upon completion.

A driving factor for the award was Robotic’s ability to integrate a fully automated EV charging system—a distinctive requirement specified by the client and consultants. The tender mandated the installation of 100 units of automatic EV charging technology from a USA or Europe-based company to address the unique challenges of EV charging in automated parking environments with Robotic’s double-utilization rate. This high standard set a new benchmark for the industry, and our patented solution made Robotic Parking Systems the only provider capable of fulfilling this requirement, establishing our system as the first of its kind globally.

SOLUTION

Robotic Parking Systems garages have delivered substantial advantages to a range of high-profile engineering projects. Key benefits include a high-density proven parking design that requires only half the space of traditional parking solutions, thereby freeing up valuable real estate for alternative uses. Users enjoy a premium, valet-style parking experience, while the system offers the fastest vehicle throughput—both entry and exit—of any automated parking solution, as verified by reputable third-party evaluations.

In densely populated downtown districts, accommodating a large number of vehicles is often impractical with conventional parking designs. This is where Robotic Parking Systems truly excels, maximizing space efficiency while providing an exceptional user experience. The New Palace of Justice project exemplifies these advantages, demonstrating how innovative parking solutions can transform urban developments.
